By joining Every.CITY, your business will be included in the Directory Listing that is displayed to your local city and county, right on the Home Page. Your directory listing will include your name, address, phone, a clickable map that triggers Google Maps for directions on a smartphone, and a clickable link to your primary website if you have one, increasing traffic to your website every time someone clicks your business name.
When local residents come to their city or county pages, for a myriad of activities, and they click on a Business Category, having your business included can only help you. But not having it listed surely cannot help you.
The really good news is your membership is free, and it only takes seconds to join. You can select one city and one county where your listing will be displayed, as well as the primary Business Category that best defines your type of business.
Even if you don't proceed through any more steps, you should at least join so your business is listed in the Business Directory with a link back to your website.
Residents that join Every.CITY (for free) are able to submit quote requests for products or services they are interested in purchasing by going to their "Merchant Requests." They describe the nature of the product or service they are looking for, optionally add a picture, select the Business Category that best describes the type of business that matches their request, and click Submit.
The system then sends a separate email to each member business that has indicated they want to receive free leads from residents. Each business that receives an email can then sign into Every.CITY and provide a quote or respond to the resident within the system.
The resident, after reviewing all the responses, determines if and with which business to continue having the discussion. Once the free lead gets to this stage, the business email will be displayed to the resident so future discussions occur outside Every.CITY.
Rather than trying to figure out if and how you are going to spend your limited funds on marketing activities, you can take full advantage of promoting your business in the suite of Every.CITY websites for free. Your only investment is the few minutes it takes to share information about your business with your local residents.
And even if your local residents don't need your products or services today, by posting your News Items, you can keep your business name in the backs of their minds so they think of you as the one that can provide them when they need them.
News Items can include information about new products or services, a new piece of equipment you have and how it can be used to help your residents, a helpful hint to residents where they can prepare for the coming season, a new employee bio that brings additional skills to your business, a new contract, an interesting story about a customer job, and many more helpful items.
Your News Items and other postings all link back to your website, if you have one, increasing web traffic to your website. And once on your website, your local residents can learn that much more about the products and services you provide. How much easier could it be to increase traffic to your website!
If your business has Specials, you can promote them here for free. Just name your Special, enter the beginning and ending dates, describe the conditions of your Special, add an image from your local drive or take a smartphone picture (to make your Special look more interesting), select which of the 25 websites in the Every.CITY suite your Special belongs, and click submit. If the current date is within your beginning and ending dates, your Special will immediately be displayed on the Home Page of both your city and county, along with the Home Pages of the appropriate Specialty Websites within Every.CITY
You can also create your Specials ahead of time, and update the dates and activate them when you are ready to use them. Your Specials will be displayed for the earlier of a maximum of 15 days or the ending date you specify.
If your business has Events, you can promote them here for free. Just name your Event, enter the date, describe your Event, add an image from your local drive or take a smartphone picture (to make your Event look more interesting), select which of the 25 websites in the Every.CITY suite your Event belongs, and click submit. Your Event will immediately be included in the Master Event Calendar, and when it is within the next five events to occur, it will displayed on the Home Page of both your city and county, along with the Home Pages of the appropriate Specialty Websites within Every.CITY. Also, if anything changes, or you need to update information due to weather or traffic conditions, you can quickly update your information.
Many times, depending on the size of the city or county, the local Event Calendar is so loaded with Events, it is hard to find the type of Event you are looking for. But by using the 24 Specialty Websites, the site visitor can quickly limit their calendar view to only those types of Events they are interested in. They can look at Sports Events, Family Events, Education Events, Tourism Events, etc.
Unlike News Items and Specials, you are not limited to the number of Events you can include in the Master Event Calendar, and they will all be displayed. Having all Events included in the Master Event Calendar enables those planning Events to avoid as many conflicts as possible.
If your business has Help Wanted Ads, you can promote them here for free. Just select your Job Type, enter your Announcement Number if there is one, name your Job, and then describe the job you are looking to fill. You can also add an image from your local drive or take a smartphone picture (to make your Help Wanted Ad look more interesting), select which of the 25 websites in the Every.CITY suite your Help Wanted Ad belongs, and click submit.
Unlike News Items and Specials, you are not limited to the number of Help Wanted Ads you can include in the Every.CITY suite of websites, and they will all be displayed.
Business owners generally get involved in all their day-to-day activities and frequently forget to take the time to promote and grow their business. We can help with that by sending you automatic, system-generated emails to remind you it is time for another posting.
You can manage each posting type separately, only turning on the reminders you want, and you can also set each reminder type at 1, 2, 3 or 4 week intervals. You can turn on and off posting reminders whenever you like.
Your Postings are only displayed on your city and county Home Pages for a limited time, as indicated below, so to keep your name in front of your customers and potential customers, you should try to post your items on a regular basis.
Do you want to make coupons available to your local residents, but it costs too much to do so? Well now you can create "Referral Coupons" and make them available to your local residents and it will not cost you anything. A Referral Coupon serves multiple purposes:
For example, a business could create a $25 Referral Coupon that can be earned with 10 Referral Points. If three residents earn Referral Coupons by transferring 10 Referral Points each to the business, each resident would receive the $25 benefit as specified on the coupon. Then, since the business now has a total of 30 Referral Points, if they are going to advertise on a Home Page of an Every.CITY website and the cost is $90, the business will be able to redeem their 30 Referral Points and only pay $60 for the ad.
Interested in supporting the youth and students in your community, increase store traffic, and most likely increase sales? We have a very unique solution for you. Offer a prize for those under 16-years-old if they can answer 100 random, 12-times table problems in less than 5 minutes. A prize could be an ice cream cone, a round of miniature golf, a slice of pizza, or anything else. For larger valued prizes, instead of a "one-for-one" prize, the prize could be an entry into a drawing that will be conducted at the end of the month, or time period you specify in the custom rules.
To redeem a prize, an individual under the age of 16 must log into Math for Prizes (located on the Family Specialty Website on each city Home Page in Every.CITY), select the prize offered by your business from the prizes shown, and then race the clock to win the prize. Although there is a tiny bit of time allowed for mistakes, it is minimal, and the child would have to know their 12-times tables to win the prize. If they succeed, a customized PDF certificate is generated that they can print or take a screen capture on their smartphone. The parent or guardian must then accompany the child to your store and affirm the child completed the task on their own without the help of a friend or sibling. You then provide the prize, and depending on the prize, there is a good chance the parent will also purchase something for themselves or other family members when they are in your store. Each child can only earn one prize per campaign you create.
Each business that joins Every.CITY is listed in the Business Directory under ONE Business Category, with a link to their website. However, some businesses perform a dual role and could benefit from being listed in multiple Business Categories. Traditionally, businesses like to be listed in as many Business Categories as possible so they get as much exposure as possible. However, that approach frequently leads to bloated listings that are not targeted and can be confusing. Consequently, each businesses needs to make a business decision to determine if it is worth an extra $5.95 per month or $59.95 per year to be added to an additional Business Category. This small fee provides a self-policing mechanism to keep Business Category listings more targeted.
When you add your business to Every.CITY, membership is free. However, depending on your business type, there may be some advantages to expanding your target audience to adjoining cities and/or counties. For example, if you were the ice cream store mentioned above, chances are you would not benefit by having your postings displayed in the adjoining city or county. However, if you were an HVAC contractor doing business in multiple counties, being included in the Business Directory in the adjoining county, may be worth the extra cost. Also, if you add an additional city or county, your News Items, Specials, Events and Help Wanted postings will also be displayed in the additional city or county to help you recover that additional expense.
The cost to add an additional city to your membership is $7.95 per month or $79.95 per year, and the cost to add an additional county is $8.95 per month or $89.95 per year. When you add either of these items to your membership, you are listed in the additional locale, but more importantly, your News Items, Specials, Help Wanted Ads and Events are also displayed in the additional locale. Consequently, each business will need to decide whether being listed in an additional city or county will return the cost as a positive ROI.
Advertising on a Business Category Page is one of the best ways to begin advertising. The rate is fixed at $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year for a graphic ad on a Business Category Page for a City and $14.95 per month or $149.95 per year for a County, regardless of the population size or the number of current advertisers. The optimum size for a graphic is 180px wide by 150px tall.
And unlike Home Page ads, which are limited to 10 advertisers, there is no limit on the number of ads on a Business Category Page. That means it will always be available to you. However, again unlike Home Page ads which are displayed in random order to each site visitor, Business Category Ads are displayed in the order in which the advertiser signed up. So if you are the third advertiser for a specific Business Category Page, your ad will always be displayed in the third spot from the top.
Finally, you will be able to change your graphic, and the URL address it points to, whenever and as often as you like. So if you happen to be a realtor, you could change the graphic every time you listed a new property, including the property in the graphic as well as pointing to the full MLS listing for the specific property for those that click on the ad.
Businesses also have the opportunity to take advantage of the extremely low advertising rates. Since we are just now launching Every.CITY, the opportunities are even better. For example, if a business is the first one to advertise on a Home Page for a city or county in either Every.CITY or one of the 24 Specialty Websites, they will receive a 70 percent discount on the rate. And the really good news is that if they continue their subscription to the advertising, their rate will continue year after year until they cancel their subscription.
Advertising rates are based on three factors. The first is the Population Tier of the city or county. For example, a city that has a population of less then 10,000 is a Tier 1 city, whereas a city that has a population of between 25,000 and 50,000 is a Tier 3 city.
The second factor is whether the ad will be on the Home Page of a city or county on the primary Every.CITY, or whether it will be on the Home Page of a city or county of a Specialty Website. And the third factor is the one mentioned above, the number of current advertisers, providing major incentives for early adopters.
Once you sign up for a Home Page ad, you will be able to change the graphic (180px x 150 px) whenever and as often as you like. Additionally, if desired, you will also be able to have a different graphic displayed on each day of the week, and the daily graphics can each point to a different website or the same website, depending on your needs. And you can change these weekday graphics whenever and as often as you like as well.
For example, if you are a restaurant, your Wednesday ad could display a free piece of pie for any entree purchase, but your Thursday ad could be a free child’s meal for every adult purchase.
There is a limit of 10 Home Page ads for each Home Page, so once they are taken, you will have to wait until someone cancels their subscription before you will be able to advertise, and if so, it will be at the full rate. However, the ads will not be displayed on the page in the order they are purchased, but rather will be displayed randomly in order to make the Home Page look less static.
